Lightning Strikes Twice: A Second Chance for FFXIII

I was perhaps a little critical in my review of Final Fantasy the Thirteenth (except for the bit about Lightning's hair- which continues to be unnecessarily wrong).  I have recently been replaying the game, and I wanted to give the thing a fair shake of a review.  So here goes.

Brace yourself.  This is going to be intense.
It's still not very good.

SMBC Books

Are you already thinking about the upcoming holiday season, and what voracious gifts you could bestow upon me in a celebration of my birth, which cleansed you of your sins?

Well, in that case, consider the SMBC bundle of comics, available here: http://smbc.myshopify.com/products/both-smbc-collections.

That's right!  I want to OWN a printed version of comics that I can read for free online.  It's capitalism at its best!  You alone can save the U.S. economy and support nude artists everywhere!

Video Games as Art

In case you didn't know, The Smithsonian is featuring The Art of Video Games next year.  In addition to having played many of the video games who won spots in the exhibition (an Internet poll allowed users to "vote" on which games from certain time periods and genres should be featured), I recently took an Art Appreciation class, and therefor am educated in the appreciation of art!

A list of games and my take on the exhibit - after the jump!
